Traditional surrogacy has been around for a long time. The first mention can be found in The Book of Genesis in the story of Sarah and Abraham. Sarah’s servant, Hagar, carried a baby for Sarah and Abraham.
The first successful gestational surrogacy journey was completed in 1985, approximately 7 years after the first baby conceived through IVF was born.
