Andrew and Elizabeth

Our Story

We have struggled with infertility since 2017. After a devastating loss and a year praying for a baby, we were told that we had less than a 5 percent chance of conceiving naturally due to unexplained infertility. We saved and saved and prayed AND finally completed In Vitro Fertilization to begin our journey to become parents in 2019. We were so excited and surprised that our first embryo transfer was successful in July of 2019 and we were blessed with an easy pregnancy with our daughter, Madeline. Her birth was hard. Her labor was excruciating and ended with an emergency c-section after almost 24 hours of labor. As my husband completed skin to skin with our daughter, I developed a postpartum hemorrhage. After multiple attempts to stop the hemorrhage, I ultimately had a hysterectomy to save my life. We were devastated but our miracle baby helped to heal our broken hearts.

Andrew & I are in our 30’s (Andrew is 35 and Elizabeth is 32) and we have been together for 12 years and married for 8! We are a Christian family of four – we have a 21 month old little girl named Madeline and a 6 year old Australian Shepherd named Luna. We both grew up in the North Georgia area – Elizabeth is from Chatsworth, GA and Andrew is from Jefferson, GA. We met at University of North Georgia on a snowy day in the mountains.

Andrew has his BBA in Marketing and received his MBA in Business Administration in 2013 and is a Director of Business Development at a foundation drilling equipment company. Elizabeth has a ASN in Nursing, a bachelor’s from UGA and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from LSU and is a practicing Registered Nurse. Elizabeth recently left the hospital setting in September 2021 after working on the Covid unit throughout the pandemic and now works in home health care. Elizabeth loves the change of pace and spending more time with her patients. It also gives her more time at home with family – both mentally and physically.

Our Interests

Elizabeth is a cozy homebody and enjoys reading books, cozy blankets, baths, candles and fireplaces. She also loves true crime and true crime podcasts and has a reality tv guilty pleasure. Andrew loves to cook, play guitar, play golf, and piddle outside. We both enjoy hiking and we love the North Georgia mountains. We also love to travel! We love the beach – our favorite places to go are Jekyll Island, GA and St. Augustine, FL. We have a family vacation with each side of the family each year at the beach and we look forward to this all year! Andrew travels for work so Elizabeth was able to travel with him often before the pandemic. We saw so many wonderful places across the world, but our favorite place to be is still our North Georgia mountains.

No one likes to talk about surrogate compensation, but it is an important factor in any surrogacy agreement. The following is how we classify high, medium and low compensation (excluding the value of any benefits). Many factors affect surrogate compensation including surrogate experience (e.g., has the woman been a surrogate before?), whether the surrogate is signed up with an agency and surrogate preferences.

  • Low = surrogate compensation less than $20,000
  • Medium = surrogate compensation between $20,000 and $40,000
  • High = surrogate compensation greater than $40,000

You can learn more about how much surrogates get paid in our surrogacy guide’s module: “How much does surrogacy cost?”.
