Paige and Giovanni

About Us

It was crazy enough, but we did meet online shortly after the death of my husband’s father. I thought I was destined to be alone forever. I signed up for a dating website and he was the only person I gave my number to. When he told me he was Sicilian (I am as well) I was in total disbelief and I asked him to speak Sicilian to me. Well, it took off from there and we were inseparable on the phone (he was living in NY, I was in Miami) and we planned our first in person meeting. It went off like fireworks! We flew back and forth to visit each other for a few months before moving in together in Brooklyn. I told him I was taking him back to Sicily (he moved to the US at age 9) and five months later we went on a magical vacation in Sicily. We saw his hometown and his old house where he grew up.

We later moved to Florida as my parents live here as well. We love going to the beach with our two boys, taking them to swimming lessons, and showing how to use boogie boards. We also love just bumming around and watching movies together. The boys are like Huck Finn (but without the drunk father part 😊). They love wildlife and naming the creatures we find along the way.

We try to create a loving and caring family and teach our children right from wrong. We are especially proud that our children love animals and respect them greatly. They love seeing manatees and dolphins at the beach! We envision our new addition to become part of this outdoor loving family that we have created.

We always make it a point to have big Sunday dinners together and involve the kids in cooking dinner! We also love animals and wildlife and show our kids to be kind and gentle with nature.

What led us to Surrogacy?

We have always dreamt of having 3 children. We know that we are so lucky with our two sons, but our heart aches for that last addition. We have been trying for a child for two years and have undergone six rounds of IVF, and I have had two failed transfers and 1 miscarriage at 10 weeks, which tore my heart apart. I still think about it every single day and the boys are begging for another sibling. We were recently told I cannot safely carry another child due to risk of uterine rupture.

Contact and Communication

We are open to respecting what the surrogate wants whether it is daily contact or little contact, but no matter what, I would like to be present at the heartbeat u/s, 20-week u/s and birth.

We feel so blessed that surrogacy could be an option for us and we would be eternally grateful to the woman who would make our family complete.

No one likes to talk about surrogate compensation, but it is an important factor in any surrogacy agreement. The following is how we classify high, medium and low compensation (excluding the value of any benefits). Many factors affect surrogate compensation including surrogate experience (e.g., has the woman been a surrogate before?), whether the surrogate is signed up with an agency and surrogate preferences.

  • Low = surrogate compensation less than $20,000
  • Medium = surrogate compensation between $20,000 and $40,000
  • High = surrogate compensation greater than $40,000
