There are two major rules enforced:

  1. Be respectful
Our aim is to be a place where intended parents and surrogates can get unbiased information about surrogacy in peace. Please refrain from judging others or criticising their choices. Our admin will follow closely and delete any disrespectful comments.
  2. Respect each other's privacy
Being part of this community requires mutual trust. Authentic and honest discussions will make this forum amazing, but many things said might be private and sensitive.

What's shared here should stay here.

How the Forum works:

  1. Users can earn points:
    • 5 points for starting a conversation that is relevant to surrogacy (limited to one question a day users can ask more questions but they just get 5 points for one)
    • Awarding 5 points for answering a question AND getting a "like". Every additional "like" the person gets earns them 1 additional point.
    • Every week, all users are awarded 5 likes to distribute as they choose. The likes don't roll over so it's just 5 likes a week that they can distribute.
  2. Once a user earns 100 points, we get notified and you'll receive a $100 amazon gift card.
  3. Getting a certain number of points will get you the rank of "experienced surrogate" or "experienced intended parent".

What kinds of things are you doing to prepare for transfer?

We have our 4th transfer coming up at the end of august. I’ll be doing a natural cycle this time. I’m trying to think of things I can do. I’ll stop drinking alcohol before my first ultrasound but aside from that I don’t know what.

I know that aside from taking meds properly, nothing is proven to help but I think even just feeling like I’m doing something differently could help and definitely wouldn’t hurt.

I was just talking to a friend about this today. I’m getting back on a workout regimen, even if it’s just a walk outside on days that I don’t want to lift.

I also will cut out alcohol and make sure I’m eating well and taking my vitamins.

We did weekly acupuncture to help thicken lining, relieve some of the side effects of meds and provide relaxation. Who knows if it actually helps but figures it won’t hurt!

I’m taking extra vitamin D and E (on top of prenatals). I’m also a “body as a whole” type person so I step up my chiropractic visits so everything in aligned and working. Mostly I try to be as stress free as possible- usually this means massages to me. Making myself take that time to relax has always seem to help, mentally and physically.
