OUR STORY
Courtney and Josh met while Josh was stationed in New Jersey and they were both living in Philadelphia. From the beginning, they both felt like they had found “the one.” After spending time apart and realizing they had never really moved on, they came back together and were married within a few months.
They eloped in a tiny chapel in one of their favorite places, Lake Tahoe, and later celebrated with their closest friends and family in Pennsylvania, where they now live. Their faith is an important part of their life together. They attend church every Sunday, read devotionals together, and last September, Josh baptized Courtney in the Tennessee River where he had been baptized as a teenager.
Both Courtney and Josh have always known they wanted to be parents. They dream of raising their children in a safe, happy, faith-filled home surrounded by love, family, and community. Courtney cannot wait to see Josh as a dad. He is already the favorite uncle, older brother, cousin, and neighborhood “Hulk” to the kids around them. They describe each other as soulmates and feel deeply grateful for the life they have built together.
HOW WE SPEND OUR TIME
Courtney and Josh love spending time with family and friends. They travel often and enjoy seeing new places, but they also love simple time at home. They have worked hard to make their house feel like a true home and enjoy cooking, relaxing, eating, reading, watching TV, and being together.
Josh loves golf, and Courtney loves to read. She has also started a small side project for the trying-to-conceive community. Together, they value faith, family, meaningful connection, and the comfort of coming home to a place that feels safe after a long day.
WHAT LED US TO SURROGACY
Courtney and Josh have been trying to conceive for more than four years. They have pursued natural conception, IUI, and IVF, but have not been able to keep a pregnancy. Their infertility diagnosis includes unexplained infertility and endometriosis.
For a long time, Courtney was not sure she was ready for surrogacy because she had hoped to carry their baby herself. Over time, she came to a place of peace in knowing that what she wants most is to become a mom. Their baby will be theirs no matter who carries them, and Courtney and Josh feel incredibly grateful for the person who may be willing to help them receive this blessing.
OUR HOPES AND DREAMS FOR OUR FUTURE CHILD
Courtney and Josh cannot wait to meet their future children, little pieces of each of them. They hope to raise children who are kind, honest, fulfilled, spiritual, loving, and compassionate.
They look forward to discovering who their children become, what dreams they will have, what makes them happy, and how they can support them when life is hard. Josh has shared that he wants to be the father he did not have growing up, while Courtney hopes to give their children the same kind of beautiful childhood she was blessed to have.
OUR FAMILY AND ENVIRONMENT
Courtney and Josh describe their family as incredibly close and supportive. Their loved ones have continued to check in, ask questions, comfort them, and give them hope throughout more than four years of trying to conceive. They feel deeply loved by their support system and cannot wait for their future children to meet their grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family.
Their home is safe, comfortable, and full of warmth. They imagine children running around, making messes, sharing family dinners, praying together, snuggling during movies, and learning to play sports in the front yard. More than anything, they want their children to know how deeply loved and adored they are by their parents and by the incredible village around them.
FAMILY TRADITIONS AND VALUES
Courtney and Josh hope to pass down the traditions and values that mean the most to them: attending church on Sundays, reading the Bible, playing sports, prioritizing family, and making birthdays and holidays feel special.
They also look forward to Thursday pizza nights, reading with their children, teaching them what helps them grow into the best version of themselves, and creating a home where love, compassion, faith, and family are central.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A MATCH
Courtney and Josh hope to match with a gestational carrier who is willing to live a safe and healthy lifestyle, avoid smoking, alcohol, and drugs, and stay open to communication throughout the journey. They would love to be involved in appointments when possible and to build an open relationship where everyone can communicate comfortably.
At the same time, they are very mindful of respecting their carrier’s space and comfort level. Their biggest priority is that their baby is safe, and they want the person who helps them grow their family to feel respected, trusted, and supported throughout the process.
