R & A

OUR STORY

We met in the concrete jungle of New York City, fast-paced, a little chaotic, and somehow the perfect place for our story to begin.

What followed felt a bit like a modern fairy tale, we did long distance between San Francisco and NYC, making the most of every visit, until eventually R made the move to be with A in San Francisco… and the rest is history.

From the beginning, there was something easy and natural about us. We balance each other in the best ways, A brings a sense of adventure and spontaneity, and R brings grounding and calm. Together, we’ve built a life that feels both exciting and deeply rooted.

OUR INTERESTS:

We looove animals and nature, honestly, we could spend hours just watching animals (and now babies!) eat and somehow never get bored.

Our day-to-day life is a mix of adventure and simplicity. A is definitely the more adventurous one, I like to call him “James Bond.” He flies planes, rides motorcycles, climbs mountains, and scuba dives.

I’m a bit more low-key, but I love being part of his world and try to join him on as many adventures as I can. Whether it’s exploring somewhere new or just enjoying a quiet day outside, we really value spending time together and appreciating the little things.

At the heart of it, we’re just two people who love being together, staying curious about the world, and building a warm, happy home.

WHAT LED US TO SURROGACY

Like many people, we always imagined that starting a family would happen naturally when the time felt right. But our journey hasn’t been as straightforward as we once hoped. Along the way, we’ve had to face the reality that building our family would require a different path, one that we didn’t initially expect, but have come to embrace with open hearts.

Coming to the decision to pursue surrogacy was not something we took lightly. It came after a lot of reflection, conversations, and learning to let go of what we thought our journey “should” look like. In that process, we found a new kind of hope.

What makes this path so meaningful to us is the incredible generosity behind it. The idea that someone would be willing to help carry a child for another family is something we find deeply moving, and not something we will ever take for granted.

We think often about the kind of home we want to create, a home filled with love, laughter, curiosity, and support. Becoming parents isn’t just a dream for us, it’s something we feel ready for in every way, and something we have so much love to give toward.

We enter this journey with gratitude, humility, and a deep respect for the person who may choose to walk this path with us. To us, this is not just a process, it’s the beginning of a lifelong story, and one we hope to share with someone who feels just as connected to it as we do.

OUR HOPES AND DREAMS FOR OUR FUTURE CHILD

Our greatest hope is that our child grows up surrounded by unconditional love, security, and joy. We want to give them a childhood filled with laughter, curiosity, and adventure, and a home where they always feel safe and supported.

We dream of raising a kind, compassionate person who values family, friendships, and making a positive impact in the world. We want to nurture their unique gifts and passions, whether that’s music, sports, science, or something we can’t yet imagine, and encourage them to follow their dreams with confidence.

Most of all, we hope our child will always know how deeply they were wanted, how much love went into bringing them into the world, and how grateful we are to the incredible woman helping us make this dream possible.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A MATCH

We see this journey as a true partnership built on mutual trust, respect, and care. Our hope is to share open and honest communication throughout celebrating milestones together, offering support when things feel tough, and making sure our surrogate always feels appreciated and cared for.

While we know every surrogate is different, we would love a warm and genuine connection that extends beyond just the medical process sharing updates, staying in touch, and involving her in the joy of this journey. Ideally, we’d love to remain connected even after the birth, with our child growing up knowing the incredible woman who helped bring them into the world.
