OUR STORY
S and R’s story began in an unexpected way, with mutual friends, a lucky night in Atlantic City, and a spontaneous Fourth of July weekend in Washington, D.C. At the time, S’s best friend’s boyfriend worked with R at a nightclub in Philadelphia. After a successful night of gambling in Atlantic City, R was invited to keep the celebration going by joining a group of friends for the holiday weekend, and S happened to be part of that group.
Over the course of the weekend, they naturally gravitated toward one another. They slept on adjacent couches and stayed up late talking for hours, sharing stories about their lives, families, interests, past relationships, and dreams for the future. The connection between them was immediate, even though neither of them had been looking for one. What began as an unexpected weekend together ultimately became the start of the life they now share.
Today, R works as the landlord and property manager for the properties they own, while S works as an executive assistant for the New Jersey Cancer Registry. Although their personalities and perspectives are different in many ways, they complement one another and bring out the best in each other. Together, they have built a relationship rooted in laughter, loyalty, family, adventure, and a deep love for one another.
A LITTLE ABOUT US
What S loves most about R is the wholehearted way he loves, not only her, but also his family and the people who matter most to him. His dedication to family and the values he carries are such an important part of who he is. He is loyal, incredibly smart, passionate, and genuine. He makes her laugh, keeps life exciting, and is always ready for the next adventure. Most importantly, he consistently shows his love through the little things: the way he supports her, shows up for her, and does everything he can to make her happy. He is not only her husband, but also her best friend, someone who challenges her, supports her, and makes sure she never has to question how deeply she is loved.
In R’s words, what he loves most about S is her kind, fun-loving spirit and how easy she is to talk to. He admires that she is thoughtful, sincere, passionate, understanding, and forgiving. She can be both calculated and free-flowing, humble while still being proud of who she is, and someone who has an old soul with a young heart. She appreciates life’s little moments, loves her family fiercely, and is always dreaming about what comes next for them. Above all, he loves how deeply she loves the life they have built together and how much hope she carries for everything still ahead.
HOW WE SPEND OUR TIME
Their biggest passion is travel. They travel multiple times a year, especially to the Caribbean, and they love the beach and anywhere warm. R has young adult children from previous relationships, so they like to spend time with them, immediate family, and friends. They also enjoy finding new and adventurous things to do together.
OUR HOPES AND DREAMS FOR OUR FUTURE CHILD
S and R are most looking forward to loving and cherishing their future child. They hope to see their child develop close relationships with family, just as they have. They want the pleasure of guiding their child through life experiences and giving them a joyful, fulfilled life. They also look forward to watching their child grow, find love, and one day build a family of their own.
WHAT LED US TO SURROGACY
After five years together, S and R got married and were so excited to begin growing their family. When pregnancy did not happen as they had hoped, they turned to fertility specialists for help. Just before beginning treatment, they were surprised to become pregnant naturally, only to experience the heartbreak of an ectopic pregnancy.
Since then, they have spent more than a decade trying to become parents together. They have worked with multiple fertility specialists, undergone countless tests and procedures, and experienced several unsuccessful embryo transfers, all while navigating a diagnosis of unexplained infertility.
Eventually, they reached the difficult but hopeful decision to pursue surrogacy. They had worked incredibly hard to create their embryos, and after everything they had been through, they felt that surrogacy offered them the best chance of finally bringing their baby home. They signed with another agency and began taking steps toward that dream, but heartbreakingly, they lost their remaining embryos and are now beginning the process of creating new ones.
It has been a much longer road to parenthood than they ever imagined, but through every setback, their hope of becoming parents has remained. They are moving forward with surrogacy with so much hope in their hearts and are incredibly grateful for the possibility that someone may choose to walk alongside them for this next chapter.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN A MATCH
S and R are very open to building a meaningful relationship with their surrogate and would love for that relationship to develop naturally. If she is local, they would be happy to attend a few appointments and be involved in ways that feel comfortable for everyone.
They do not want their surrogate to feel like she has to provide weekly updates or that there is an expectation to constantly communicate. At the same time, they would really appreciate being included in the important moments and major milestones along the way.
They would love to text, get to know her as a person, and, if she is comfortable, get to know her family as well. They hope to build a relationship based on trust, respect, openness, and genuine connection. Whether that means staying in touch regularly, sharing occasional updates and photos, or simply developing a friendship over time, they are open to whatever feels natural and comfortable for both sides.
Most importantly, they want their surrogate to feel supported, respected, and appreciated throughout the journey. They understand that this is something incredibly personal and meaningful, and they want the relationship to feel mutually comfortable and authentic, not forced or based on expectations.
