OUR STORY
We live in Texas and have been together for 8 wonderful years. A close friend of V’s spent six months scheming to introduce us, and her plan worked perfectly when she brought us together at a party. We connected immediately and have been happily together ever since. V is caring, spiritual, and very close to her siblings and friends. She works for a nonprofit that helps people access education and employment opportunities. O is optimistic, charismatic and loves making people laugh. He has built a career in sales and values maintaining a healthy balance between work, family, and fun.
OUR HOBBIES
We both are thoughtful, active, and engaged in our community. We enjoy traveling, hiking, gardening, dancing, cooking together, and spending time outdoors. Most weekends are filled with friends and family, and we’re fortunate to live close to our loved ones. One of our group’s of friends rotates hosting a monthly group dinner. This group of friends is very musical and after dinner we often sing and play the guitar together. We both come from large, close-knit families and have siblings close by and many nieces and nephews. Being an aunt and uncle has brought us immense joy.
WHAT LED US TO SURROGACY
Our fertility journey has been long, but we remain hopeful and grateful as we search for a surrogate match. About 5 years ago, we learned that V has a rare uterine condition that significantly limits the chance of pregnancy, even with IVF. After 11 IVF cycles at 3 different clinics, a failed transfer and miscarriage, we were advised that surrogacy is our best path to becoming parents. We have also begun a surrogacy journey with a first-time gestational carrier. Unfortunately, she was later found to have a similar uterine issue and was unable to be cleared for transfer.
OUR HOPES AND DREAMS FOR OUR FUTURE CHILD
We dream of raising a child surrounded by the loving community of friends and family that mean so much to us. We imagine weekends spent outdoors, time together with loved ones and their children, and adventures exploring the world as a family. Our home will be warm, joyful and enriching. We will be patient, loving, and supportive parents who will encourage our child to explore their interests and follow their passions.
FAMILY SUPPORT AND VALUES
Family is at the center of our lives, and we are incredibly devoted to and close to our families. We live in the same city as our parents and most of our siblings and nieces and nephews. We get together with our family often. We hope that our nieces and nephews and future child will be able to grow up together.
